Range Rover Evoque Now Assembled At Tata’s New Tamil Nadu Facility

Tata Begins Evoque Production At New Panapakkam Plant

Tata Motors has officially started operations at its new Panapakkam manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu with the local assembly of the Range Rover Evoque. The new plant marks a major step in expanding production capacity while supporting future electric and next-generation vehicle manufacturing plans in India.

New Tamil Nadu Plant Details

The new facility is located in the Ranipet district and represents Tata Motors’ latest manufacturing expansion. It has an annual production capacity of around 2.5 lakh vehicles and will support production for both Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover models.

Tata Begins Evoque Production At Panapakkam Plant

The plant was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin along with the Tata Motors leadership. The investment for the facility is estimated at Rs 9,000 crore and is expected to generate significant employment once operations scale up.

Range Rover Evoque Assembly Shift

The Range Rover Evoque was earlier assembled at Tata’s Pune plant along with several other Jaguar Land Rover models. Production has now shifted to the new Tamil Nadu facility as part of capacity optimisation and future planning.

Local assembly helps streamline logistics, improve production flexibility and prepare the company for increased demand across both Tata and JLR portfolios.

Future Plans And EV Production Scope

The Panapakkam facility is being developed as a next-generation manufacturing hub. Apart from conventional vehicles, it is expected to support upcoming electric vehicle production as well.

Future Tata EV projects, including models from the Avinya range, could potentially be manufactured here. Production is expected to ramp up gradually over the next few years as the company expands capacity and product lineup.
