Toyota Rumion Entry Price Reduced by Rs 95,000
Toyota has made the Rumion more affordable for buyers in India by introducing a new entry‑level E variant. With this update, the starting price of the MPV now drops by Rs 95,000 compared to the earlier base model.
Priced at Rs 9.56 lakh (ex‑showroom), the new variant becomes the most affordable way to enter the Rumion lineup. The MPV is now available in four trims – E, S, G and V – while prices for higher variants remain unchanged and go up to Rs 13.86 lakh.
Features Offered in the Rumion E Variant
To keep the price competitive, the E variant comes with a basic but practical equipment list. Exterior highlights include projector halogen headlamps, LED tail lamps and 15‑inch steel wheels.
The MPV also offers four power windows and key safety features such as six airbags, hill hold assist and rear parking sensors.
However, some features available in higher variants are missing. These include rear AC vents, powered outside rearview mirrors, an adjustable inside rearview mirror and an infotainment system with speakers.
Engine and Rivals
The Rumion E variant is powered by a 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 103 hp. It is paired with a 5‑speed manual gearbox, while automatic and factory‑fitted CNG options are not offered with this trim.
In India, the Rumion competes with other three‑row MPVs, including the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, and Kia Carens.
