India’s 7-seater segment closed December 2025 on a strong note, led by the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, while Mahindra’s Scorpio range and Bolero posted solid growth, highlighting sustained demand across MPVs and SUVs. Toyota Innova, Kia Carens and Fortuner also maintained healthy volumes, underlining buyer preference for space and versatility.

The 7-seater segment ended December 2025 on a strong note, with Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Toyota continuing to dominate the sales charts. Demand remained healthy across MPVs and SUVs, while a few models delivered standout year-on-year growth.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga once again emerged as the best-selling 7-seater in India. The MPV recorded sales of 16,586 units during the month, registering a marginal three per cent year-on-year growth. Its consistent performance reflects steady demand from both family buyers and fleet operators.

Mahindra followed closely with the Scorpio range in second place. Combined sales of the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic stood at 15,885 units, translating into a strong 30 per cent growth compared to December 2024. The biggest highlight, however, was the Mahindra Bolero, which clocked 10,611 units and posted a massive 79 per cent year-on-year increase.

Toyota’s Innova lineup continued to deliver stable numbers. Including the Crysta and Hycross, the Innova sold 9,901 units, marking a modest two per cent growth. Kia Carens also saw healthy traction with 3,681 units sold, up 40 per cent year-on-year.

The Toyota Fortuner reported 2,961 unit sales, growing 34 per cent, while the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Renault Triber maintained steady demand with 2,744 units and 2,324 units respectively. Tata Safari followed with 1,446 units sold.

Rounding off the top ten, the Mahindra XUV 7XO entered the list with 971 units in December 2025, highlighting growing interest in newer three-row SUV offerings. Overall, the numbers underline sustained demand for practical and versatile seven-seat vehicles in the Indian market.
