This Upcoming MG Electric SUV Is Bigger Than Harrier EV
MG Motor India is preparing to expand its premium electric lineup with the upcoming MG IM6 electric SUV. The model was previously showcased at the 2025 Indian Mobility Auto Expo and is expected to arrive later this year.
The IM6 will be sold through MG Select dealerships, the brand’s premium retail network for high-end electric vehicles. Interestingly, this new EV is also larger than the Tata Harrier EV and several upcoming Indian electric SUVs.
MG IM6 Will Join MG Select Premium Lineup

MG Select dealerships are designed to sell the brand’s premium electric vehicles in India. The network currently offers the MG Cyberster electric sportscar and the MG M9 electric MPV.
With the arrival of the IM6, MG will add its third premium electric model to this lineup. The SUV comes from IM Motors, a premium EV brand backed by SAIC Motor and JSW Group.
Design, Interior And Technology

The MG IM6 features a sleek and aerodynamic design with teardrop-style LED headlights, a closed front grille and flush door handles. Large petal-style alloy wheels and a full-width rear light bar add to its modern appearance.
Inside, the cabin follows a minimalist layout. It includes a large 26.3-inch panoramic display along with a 10.5-inch vertical touchscreen. Buyers can also expect features such as vegan leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic glass roof and a 20-speaker sound system.
Battery, Performance And Expected Price

Internationally, the IM6 is offered with a rear-wheel-drive motor producing 408 bhp and 500 Nm. A more powerful all-wheel-drive version delivers up to 778 bhp and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds.
The SUV uses a 100 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 555 km and support for ultra-fast DC charging. When launched in India, the MG IM6 is expected to be priced around Rs 60 lakh and compete with models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and BYD Sealion 7.
