This Upcoming Hybrid SUV Promises 1,400 km Range

Chery’s off-road-focused Jetour brand has previewed its upcoming Zongheng G600, a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV that is moving closer to production. The model was first shown as a concept during Auto Shanghai 2025 and is part of Jetour’s push into the premium SUV space.

Early information suggests the Zongheng G600 will combine rugged off-road capability with advanced hybrid technology. One of its biggest highlights could be a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,400 km.

Jetour Zongheng G600 Targets Luxury Off-Road SUV Segment

The Zongheng G600 will enter the full-size luxury off-road SUV segment. Jetour positions the Zongheng lineup in a price band ranging from around 400,000 yuan to 1.5 million yuan in China.

This places the SUV against premium off-roaders such as the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T. With this new model, Jetour aims to strengthen its presence in the high-end SUV category while building on the brand’s growing global sales momentum.

Rugged Design And Body-On-Frame Platform

Official teaser images show a boxy and muscular design that emphasises off-road ability. The front features a vertical fascia with distinctive C-shaped LED lighting elements.

Large wheel arches, a roof-mounted luggage rack and upright proportions reinforce its adventure-focused styling. The SUV is expected to measure roughly 5.1 to 5.2 metres in length and will use a body-on-frame chassis, a layout typically preferred for serious off-road vehicles.

Hybrid Powertrain And 1,400 km Range Target

The Zongheng G600 is expected to use Chery’s Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid system. This setup is predicted to include a 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid engine paired with a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.

The SUV will likely adopt an 800V electrical architecture with silicon carbide electronics and support high-speed charging technology. Jetour is targeting a combined driving range of around 1,400 km, making the G600 one of the longest-range hybrid SUVs in its segment.
