Skoda Gives Fresh Tease of Kushaq Facelift Ahead of January 2026 Launch
Skoda India has released another teaser of the upcoming Kushaq facelift, offering a clearer look at some of the exterior updates ahead of its planned January 2026 debut. The refreshed mid-size SUV is set to receive subtle design tweaks and feature upgrades as part of its mid-lifecycle update.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Exterior Updates
The latest teaser confirms changes to the lighting elements at both ends. Up front, the Kushaq facelift will feature revised headlights and DRLs connected by segmented light elements, along with a redesigned grille and bumper finished with angular silver accents.

At the rear, Skoda will introduce an illuminated ‘SKODA’ wordmark flanked by individual lighting elements, mirroring the connected-light theme seen at the front.
Interior and Feature Upgrades Expected
While the interior has not been officially revealed, the Kushaq facelift is expected to receive a longer equipment list to stay competitive in the segment. Higher variants are likely to get a panoramic sunroof, updated graphics for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, and additional comfort-focused features.
Spy images and reports also suggest improvements to the air-conditioning system, addressing a key complaint of the current model.
ADAS and Safety Enhancements

Skoda has already confirmed that Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems will be rolled out across its MQB-A0-IN-based models as part of upcoming facelifts. The Kushaq facelift is expected to be among the first to receive this upgrade.
A 360-degree camera system is also likely to be added, bringing the Kushaq in line with newer rivals in the midsize SUV segment.
Engines and Gearbox Options
The facelifted Kushaq is expected to continue with the existing petrol engine options. These include the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit, with no mechanical changes planned at launch.
Current gearbox options are also expected to carry over initially. However, Skoda is likely to introduce a new localised 8-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0 TSI engine at a later stage, which could eventually replace the existing 6-speed unit.
The Skoda Kushaq facelift will rival updated versions of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and Tata Sierra when it goes on sale early next year.
