Sambalpur Accident: Car Rams Electric Pole, Engine Lands 100 Feet Away
A high-speed car accident took place late on Thursday night in the Ainthapali area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district. The car rammed into an electric pole, and the impact was so strong that the engine was thrown nearly 100 feet away from the vehicle.
Despite the severity of the crash, the driver escaped without any life-threatening injuries. No casualties were reported in the incident.
High-Speed Car Hits Electric Pole in Sambalpur
According to initial information, the accident happened near Adarsha Marg. The front portion of the car was completely damaged after hitting the electric pole. Due to the heavy impact, the engine got separated from the car and landed on the opposite side of the road.
Officials said all airbags in the car were deployed at the time of the crash, which helped prevent serious injuries to the driver.
Parked Two-Wheelers Damaged, Police Start Probe
After hitting the electric pole, the car also struck three two-wheelers parked along the roadside. Two of the parked vehicles were badly damaged. Authorities later removed the damaged vehicles and cleared the road.
Police have started an investigation into the accident. CCTV footage from the area is being checked to find out the exact cause of the crash. Reports of over-speeding are also being looked into.
