A road accident near ESI Medical College and Hospital, Joka, claimed one life early Monday morning. A truck hit a motorcycle near the hospital while making a U-turn. One person died, and another was injured in the crash.
Truck Hits Bike Near ESI Hospital Joka
Police said the accident happened around 5:15 am. The truck was coming from the Taratala side and reportedly lost control during a U-turn. The bike rider and pillion were thrown off due to the impact. The injured were taken to ESI Hospital, where one person was declared dead.
Injured Rider Hospitalised, Police Start Probe
The bike rider suffered multiple injuries and was later shifted to another hospital for treatment. The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident. Police have started a search for the vehicle and driver, and an investigation is underway.
