Bus Carrying Medical Students Hits Tree in Kothagudem, 10 Injured
A road accident took place in Telangana’s Kothagudem district on Saturday evening when a bus carrying Government Medical College students hit a tree near the college area. Around 10 students suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Police said nearly 40 students were travelling in the bus. It was taking students from the college to the hostel at Palvancha, which is about four kilometres away.
Bus Hits Tree Near Medical College
The accident happened around 5 pm, about 100 metres from the main gate of the college. According to police, the driver suddenly felt unwell and lost control of the bus. The vehicle then hit a tree beside the road.
The impact damaged window panes, which caused minor injuries to several students.
Injured Students Taken to Hospital
All injured students were shifted to the Government General Hospital, Kothagudem, for treatment. Doctors said none of the injuries are serious.
Police have started an investigation into the incident. Officials said the bus was hired by the college to transport students between the college and the hostel.
