Renault To Launch New Duster In India Tomorrow

Renault is set to launch the new-generation Duster in India on March 17, marking the comeback of one of the most popular SUVs in the country. The original model helped start the compact SUV trend when it first arrived in 2012.
The new Duster has already been revealed ahead of its launch, giving us a look at the design, platform and engine options. What remains to be announced officially are the final prices and variant details.
New Renault Duster Design And Features
The new Duster is built on Renault’s Global Modular Platform (RGMP), which has been developed keeping the Indian market in mind. The scalable architecture can support multiple body styles and future models.
The SUV features a boxy design with bold DUSTER lettering on the front grille, heavy body cladding and connected tail lamps. The rugged styling gives it a more modern and muscular look.
Inside, the cabin gets dual 10-inch screens integrated into a single unit. Higher variants are expected to offer features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control.
The SUV will also come with up to 17 Level-2 ADAS functions, making it one of the safer options in its segment.
New Renault Duster Engine Options And Expected Price
Renault has confirmed multiple engine options for the new Duster. At launch, the SUV is expected to get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 99 bhp and 160 Nm, paired with a manual gearbox.
A more powerful 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 158 bhp and 280 Nm will also be available, likely with an automatic transmission.
Renault is also planning a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid version, which is expected to arrive later in 2026.
The new Duster is expected to launch with a starting price of around Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
