Ducati Desmo450 MX Launched In India At Rs 17.24 Lakh

Ducati has launched the Desmo450 MX in India at an introductory price of Rs 17.24 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the brand’s first-ever motocross motorcycle and is designed for off-road performance rather than everyday road use.
Unlike most Ducati motorcycles, the Desmo450 MX is not street legal and is meant only for closed circuits and motocross tracks. Bookings for the motorcycle are now open, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of March 2026.

The Ducati Desmo450 MX price in India starts at Rs 17.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The motocross bike will be available only through four Ducati dealerships in the country.
These include Ducati New Delhi, Ducati VFM Bengaluru, Ducati Chennai and Ducati Pune. The limited availability highlights its niche positioning as a high-performance off-road motorcycle aimed at enthusiasts and professional riders.
Ducati Desmo450 MX Engine, Performance And Hardware
Powering the Ducati Desmo450 MX is a 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine producing 64 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine uses Ducati’s Desmodromic valve system and revs up to 11,900 rpm.
It is paired with a five-speed gearbox and quickshifter. The bike also features traction control designed specifically for motocross riding.
Hardware includes a lightweight aluminium frame, fully adjustable Showa 49 mm USD front forks and a rear monoshock. The bike rides on a 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wheel setup with Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tyres.
