Renault Duster Earns 5-Star Safety Rating – Among Top 15 Safest Cars in India
The new Renault Duster safety rating in India has been revealed, and it has secured a full 5-star score under Bharat NCAP. With strong results in both adult and child protection, the SUV strengthens its comeback in India with a clear focus on safety.

Renault Duster Bharat NCAP Crash Test Scores Explained
The Duster scored 30.49 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 45 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection. These numbers place it among the stronger performers in its segment.
In crash performance, the SUV achieved 14.49 out of 16 in the frontal offset test and a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side impact test. This indicates a strong body structure and good occupant protection.
Based on these scores, the Duster is currently ranked among the top 15 safest cars in India by BNCAP, in terms of adult safety points.

Safety Features and What Makes Duster Strong

Renault has equipped the Duster with a solid list of standard safety features. These include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold and hill descent control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The SUV also offers ISOFIX mounts and supports i-Size child seats, ensuring better protection for younger passengers. In addition, it comes with 17 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking, etc.
These features, combined with strong crash test results, make the Duster a well-rounded and safety-focused SUV.

The Duster’s 5-star rating comes at a time when safety is becoming a key factor for Indian car buyers. Out of 34 cars tested under Bharat NCAP so far, 31 have secured a full 5-star rating, showing a clear shift in the market.
Recent results from models like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Venue also highlight how manufacturers are focusing more on safety across segments.
