India’s Popular Kia Seltos Goes Global – Europe Launch Confirmed
Kia is set to introduce the second-generation Kia Seltos in Europe for the first time, marking a big step in its global journey. The SUV, which has been a strong performer in India and other markets, will now enter one of the most competitive segments globally.
Kia Seltos’ Journey from India to Global Markets
The Kia Seltos made its debut in 2019 with a strong focus on markets like India, where it quickly became a success. It played a key role in establishing Kia’s presence and went on to become one of the brand’s best-selling SUVs.

What to Expect from the Europe-Spec Kia Seltos
The Europe-spec Seltos will focus heavily on electrification. It is expected to get a 1.6-litre turbo petrol-based hybrid system, available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
Power outputs are likely to be around 152 hp for FWD and 176 hp for AWD versions, paired with a dual-clutch transmission. This setup is aimed at improving efficiency while maintaining performance.
In terms of design, the new Seltos draws inspiration from Kia’s latest EV lineup, including models like EV3 and EV5. It features a sharper and more modern look compared to the previous generation.
Inside, the cabin gets a premium layout with dual 12.3-inch displays, a separate climate control panel and advanced connected features along with ADAS technology.
The SUV will be positioned between the Stonic and Sportage in Kia’s European lineup.
