An early-morning road accident on the Agra–Jaipur National Highway in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district claimed four lives after a sleeper bus rammed into a stationary trailer. The bus was travelling from Kasganj to Jaipur when the crash occurred near Ludhawai Pulia in the Sewar police station area.

According to initial information, visibility was poor due to dense fog at the time of the incident. The trailer had reportedly broken down and was parked on the highway without any warning indicators, leading the bus driver to assume it was moving.

The impact was severe, with the front portion of the sleeper bus completely damaged. Rescue teams rushed to the spot soon after the accident, and injured passengers were pulled out from the wreckage. Five passengers sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to RBM Hospital in Bharatpur for treatment.

Casualties, Injuries and Official Response

Four passengers died on the spot in the crash. Bharatpur District Collector Kamar Chaudhary and Superintendent of Police Digant Anand reached the accident site to oversee rescue operations and medical arrangements. Police officials confirmed that all injured passengers are undergoing treatment at RBM Hospital.

The deceased include members of a family from Mathura who were travelling for Khatu Shyam Ji darshan. Police have identified all four victims and informed their families. The bodies have been kept at the RBM Hospital mortuary, and postmortem examinations will be conducted after the arrival of relatives. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
