Mercedes Just Launched A New Electric Sedan With 792 km Range

Mercedes-Benz has opened bookings for the new CLA electric sedan in India, introducing one of the longest‑range EVs in its segment. Customers can reserve the model with a booking amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh, while deliveries will begin in phases starting in April 2026.

The electric sedan will be offered in two versions – CLA 250+ Long Range and CLA 200 Standard Range. The CLA 250+ will be the first to reach customers by the end of April 2026, while the more affordable CLA 200 variant is scheduled to arrive in June.

The CLA 200 Standard Range is expected to carry a price of around Rs. 55 lakh, while the CLA 250+ Long Range could be priced close to Rs. 59 lakh. Both variants offer similar equipment levels, ensuring buyers receive the same technology and comfort features regardless of the version chosen.

Range, Charging And Key Features

The CLA 250+ Long Range delivers a claimed range of up to 792 km on a full charge, while the CLA 200 Standard Range offers around 542 km. Built on an 800‑volt architecture, the EV supports 240 kW DC fast charging and can add up to 400 km of range in about 20 minutes.

The sedan also supports intelligent navigation with charging route planning and access to a large public charging network across India. Buyers will also have the option of installing a home wallbox charger with up to 22 kW charging capacity.
