Renault has unveiled the Bridger Concept, a compact SUV that previews a future production model positioned below the upcoming Duster. The new vehicle is expected to become an important part of the brand’s global expansion strategy and could arrive in key markets such as India by 2027.

Often referred to as a “Mini Duster,” the upcoming SUV is being designed as a sub‑4‑metre model aimed at growing demand for compact SUVs. Renault has confirmed that the production version will be locally manufactured in India, highlighting the importance of the market in the company’s future plans.

The Bridger Concept showcases Renault’s vision for a rugged yet compact SUV. It features an upright stance, wide lighting elements and squared wheel arches that reinforce its SUV identity. The concept also includes a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and a ground clearance of 200 mm, suggesting strong practicality for varied road conditions.

Despite its compact size, Renault claims the SUV will offer generous interior space. Rear passengers benefit from around 200 mm of knee room, while the boot provides roughly 400 litres of cargo capacity.

The production version will be built on Renault’s RGMP small modular platform, which also underpins the upcoming Duster. Depending on the market, the SUV could be offered with petrol, hybrid or even fully electric powertrain options.
