Kia Launches New Syros HTK (EX) Variant, Priced From Rs 9.89 Lakh

Kia India has expanded the Syros lineup in India with the launch of a new HTK (EX) variant, priced from Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned between the HTK (O) and HTK+ trims, the new variant aims to offer key exterior and tech upgrades at a more accessible price point.

The HTK (EX) is available with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol manual at Rs 9.89 lakh and a 1.5-litre diesel manual at Rs 10.64 lakh (ex-showroom). With this addition, the Syros range now spans seven trims, with prices starting at Rs 8.67 lakh and going up to Rs 15.94 lakh.

One of the biggest additions on the HTK (EX) is the inclusion of all-LED exterior lighting, including LED headlamps, DRLs and tail-lamps. Earlier, this lighting setup was reserved for higher trims, making the HTK (EX) a more value-focused option for buyers prioritising modern design cues.

Feature highlights include a large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital driver’s display, six speakers and a single-pane sunroof. The variant also gets manual air-conditioning with rear vents, auto-folding ORVMs with LED indicators, powered mirrors and a rear parking camera.

On the safety front, the Kia Syros HTK (EX) comes equipped with six airbags, TPMS, hill-start assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and both front and rear parking sensors. The turbo-petrol version rides on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the diesel variant carries forward the wheel setup from the HTK (O).

Powertrain options include the 120 hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 116 hp 1.5-litre diesel engine, both offered exclusively with manual transmissions. No automatic gearbox is available on this trim.

With the introduction of the HTK (EX), Kia strengthens the mid-variant mix of the Syros, offering features that were earlier limited to higher trims. The Syros continues to compete in the crowded sub-4m SUV segment against rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Kia Sonet.
