New electric SUVs launching in India continue to expand buyer choices as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota prepare multiple EV introductions. Four electric SUVs are expected to reach showrooms soon, with competitive pricing likely in the Rs 10–20 lakh range for base variants.

The Tata Punch.ev facelift is scheduled to go on sale on 20 February. It gets a redesigned front end with a cleaner mask, updated lighting housing and a concave grille design.

At the rear, it receives a chunkier skid plate and revised lamps linked by a slim light strip. Two new colour options, yellow and brown, are also planned. Battery and motor details remain unchanged for now.

Tata Sierra.ev

The Sierra.ev will be the fully electric version of the new Sierra. It features a body-coloured closed front panel instead of the ICE grille and revised fascia elements.

Expected configurations include single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD versions with independent rear suspension. The model is likely to be unveiled and launched in March.

Maruti e-Vitara

The e‑Vitara will be Maruti Suzuki’s first EV and among its most advanced models. Two front-wheel-drive variants are planned with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs.

Claimed range figures are expected at 440 km and 543 km respectively. Feature highlights include ventilated seats, digital instrumentation, touchscreen infotainment and flexible rear seating. Prices are likely to be announced toward the end of February.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

The Urban Cruiser Ebella is essentially Toyota’s version of the e‑Vitara with revised styling. It adopts a distinctive Hammerhead-inspired front design with curvier lighting elements.

Powertrain options are expected to mirror the Maruti model. Launch timing is also anticipated around the end of February as India’s EV SUV space continues to grow.
