2026 Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 Unveiled With Major Updates
Triumph has revealed the most comprehensive update yet for its 660cc middleweight duo – the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660. For 2026, both motorcycles receive a heavily revised engine along with changes to the chassis, styling and features, marking a significant step forward over the outgoing models.
What’s new in the 2026 Triumph 660 twins

At the heart of the update is an extensively reworked 660cc inline three-cylinder engine. Both the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 now produce 95hp at 11,250rpm and 68Nm of torque at 8,250rpm, bringing their output in line with the Daytona 660. Peak power now arrives 1,000rpm higher than before, while peak torque is delivered 2,000rpm higher, improving top-end performance without sacrificing everyday usability.
A key technical change is the switch to three individual 44mm throttle bodies, replacing the earlier single throttle body setup. Triumph says this improves throttle response and strengthens mid-range and top-end performance. Supporting updates include a larger airbox, revised cylinder head, higher-lift camshaft, a higher redline of 12,650rpm and an upgraded cooling system.
How the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 differ

While both bikes share the same mechanical upgrades, their focus remains distinct. The Trident 660 adopts refreshed bodywork, including a redesigned fuel tank, revised seat and updated headlamp, reinforcing its roadster character. Suspension upgrades include a new Showa rear shock with preload and rebound adjustment, while electronics continue to include ride modes, IMU-based cornering ABS and traction control, cruise control and a quick shifter.
The Tiger Sport 660 applies the same engine tune to a more touring-oriented setup. It gets revised bodywork for better weather protection, an adjustable windscreen and a larger 18.6-litre fuel tank to improve range. Longer suspension travel and remote preload adjustment at the rear further enhance its touring capability.
Expected launch timeline and what it means

Both models also receive new colour options for 2026. Triumph is expected to introduce the updated Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 in India later this year. With meaningful gains in performance and refinement, the updated 660 twins aim to stay competitive in the increasingly crowded middleweight segment.
