2026 Tata Punch Facelift Launched In India

Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 Tata Punch facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated micro SUV receives notable changes inside and out, along with expanded powertrain options, new features and revised variants, strengthening its position in the entry-level SUV segment.

What’s New In The 2026 Tata Punch Facelift

The biggest update is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Borrowed from the Tata Nexon, this iTurbo motor produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque and comes paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Positioned higher in the range, it adds a performance-focused option to the Punch lineup.

Transmission choices have also been widened. The Punch CNG now gets an AMT gearbox with paddle shifters, a first in this segment. Tata continues to use its dual-cylinder CNG setup, which helps retain a usable boot space of 210 litres.

The Punch continues with its five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. Tata has now made six airbags standard across all variants, along with electronic stability programme and multiple drive modes. The brand highlights that nearly 70 percent of Punch buyers are first-time car owners, underlining the model’s mass-market appeal.

The 2026 Tata Punch facelift is offered in petrol, turbo petrol and CNG options. Prices range from Rs 5.59 lakh for the Smart petrol MT to Rs 9.29 lakh for the Accomplished CNG variant. The turbo petrol option is available from the Adventure trim onwards, priced at Rs 8.29 lakh.

Features And Equipment

Even the base Smart variant comes well equipped with LED headlamps, ESP, Eco and City drive modes, remote keyless entry, iTPMS and a newly designed steering wheel sourced from the Nexon.

The Pure and Pure+ trims add rear AC vents, steering-mounted controls, an eight-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, reverse camera, Type-C fast charging and a height-adjustable driver seat.

The Adventure variant brings a noticeable tech upgrade with features like a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, push-button start, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers and 15-inch styled steel wheels.

Top-spec Accomplished and Accomplished+ trims introduce 16-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs and tail lamps, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, extended thigh support seats, a voice-assisted electric sunroof, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and Tata’s iRA connected car technology.

Design Updates And Colours

The facelifted Punch features revised headlamps and tail lamps, reworked bumpers, a refreshed grille, new LED DRLs and a full-width LED light bar at the rear. Dual-tone alloy wheels further enhance the updated look.

The micro SUV is offered in six exterior colours, including Cyantafic, Caramel, Bengal Rouge, Daytona Grey, Coorg Clouds and Pristine White.

Market Position

With added powertrain options, improved safety and a richer feature list, the 2026 Tata Punch facelift aims to widen its appeal among first-time buyers and urban SUV customers in India, while continuing to focus on safety and value.
