VinFast Unveils 625 HP Lac Hong 900S and 800S Electric Flagships
VinFast has unveiled two new ultra‑luxury electric vehicles – the Lac Hong 900S and Lac Hong 800S – as part of a broader restructuring of its global automotive portfolio. The new models will headline the company’s flagship Lac Hong luxury division and are expected to reach international markets by 2027.
Both vehicles are built around a powerful triple‑motor electric powertrain producing around 625 hp. The setup places two motors on the rear axle and one on the front, creating an all‑wheel‑drive configuration designed to deliver strong performance and stability. VinFast has also confirmed that both models will feature an advanced active suspension system aimed at improving ride comfort and driving dynamics.
New Lac Hong Flagship EVs
The Lac Hong 900S is designed as a fastback‑style luxury sedan, while the 800S takes the form of a large luxury SUV. Despite their different body styles, both vehicles share key design elements including a vertical‑slat grille, slim LED daytime running lights, split headlamp layout and flush door handles. At the rear, T‑shaped LED taillights add a distinctive lighting signature.
VinFast has not yet revealed detailed battery specifications or range figures for the two models, though more technical information is expected closer to launch.
Interior and Brand Strategy
Inside, both vehicles feature a premium cabin with a layered dashboard finished in wood trim, dual digital displays and a three‑spoke steering wheel with gold accents. Luxury amenities include zero‑gravity seats, powered doors, wireless charging pads and electrically adjustable front and rear seating.
The 900S sedan goes a step further with a rear cabin partition and projection system along with a starlight headliner designed to enhance rear passenger comfort.
Alongside the reveal, VinFast confirmed that its portfolio will now be organised into three distinct product lines: the Lac Hong luxury brand, the VF range for mass‑market electric vehicles and a Green lineup focused on commercial mobility solutions.
