Vespa has unveiled the 946 Horse Edition, a new limited-run scooter created to mark 2026 as the Year of the Horse. The special edition continues the brand’s tradition of Zodiac-inspired models under its Lunar Collection and is aimed squarely at collectors and design-focused buyers rather than performance seekers.

The 946 Horse Edition stands out with its bay colour finish, a deep brown shade inspired by the glossy coat of a horse. Vespa’s trademark steel bodywork combines contrasting glossy and matte surfaces, giving the scooter a rich, handcrafted appearance. The seat is finished in premium leather and draws inspiration from equestrian tack, complete with a horseshoe motif and a V monogram beneath it. Leather detailing extends to the handlebar grips and rear-view mirrors, reinforcing the horse-themed design throughout.

Vespa will also offer a set of matching accessories for the 946 Horse Edition. These include a leather rear bag finished in the same material as the seat, a lightly smoked windscreen and a colour-matched three-quarter helmet featuring a gold V logo.
