Splendor Still Rules, And Not By Accident

Hero Splendor continued as India’s most trusted commuter, nearing 3.5 lakh units in a single month. Its dominance tells a deeper story about India’s mobility priorities. In a market where running cost, durability and servicing accessibility matter more than styling, the Splendor remains unbeatable. Its demand stretches from rural belts to tier 2 cities, forming the backbone of Hero’s leadership.

Activa And Shine Signal Honda’s Strong Comeback

Honda made a sharp impact with the Activa and Shine taking second and third place. The Activa’s 2.6 lakh sales, with strong year-on-year growth, show that despite EV buzz, Indians still trust petrol scooters for everyday reliability. The Shine crossing 1.8 lakh units reinforces Honda’s commuter strength and hints at growing preference for refined engines.

TVS Shows Depth With Four Models In Top 10

TVS Jupiter continued its steady climb with over 1.24 lakh units, showing that comfort scooters remain a major urban choice. The Apache’s nearly 37 percent surge highlights how performance commuters are quietly expanding their audience. Even the XL100, a utility icon, maintained its relevance despite a minor dip. The standout, however, was the TVS iQube.

An EV Finally Breaks Into The Big League

With 38,000-plus units, the TVS iQube became the only electric two-wheeler in the top ten. Its rapid growth shows the EV transition is picking up beyond metros. With better availability and rising trust in charging infrastructure, the iQube’s numbers reflect the beginning of a wider shift.

What This Means For India’s Two-Wheeler Future

The November rankings make one thing clear: India’s market is evolving, not replacing. Traditional commuters like Splendor and Activa still dominate because they solve practical needs. At the same time, EVs like the iQube are gaining traction as infrastructure improves. The next phase will likely see tighter competition between high-efficiency petrol bikes and mid-range electric scooters.

For now, India is buying what works today, while cautiously moving toward what will define tomorrow.
