This Plug-In Hybrid SUV Can Add 200 km in 5 Minutes
Great Wall Motors has unveiled the new Wey V9X, a large plug-in hybrid SUV that introduces the company’s latest GWM One platform. The model combines strong performance with advanced hybrid technology and extremely fast charging capability.
The V9X stands out for its ability to add up to 200 km of electric driving range in just five minutes of charging, highlighting the rapid progress of next-generation hybrid systems.
Wey V9X Debuts With Powerful Plug-In Hybrid System

The Wey V9X is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system. The engine produces 175 kW, while the electrified setup delivers strong acceleration and efficiency for a vehicle in the large SUV segment.
According to official information, the SUV offers electric driving ranges of 240 km and 363 km depending on configuration. Performance is also impressive, with the V9X capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds in pure electric mode and 4.7 seconds in hybrid mode.
Design, Interior and Technology Highlights

The new SUV measures 5299 mm in length and rides on a 3150 mm wheelbase, giving it a commanding road presence. The exterior features a closed grille, a star-ring light strip and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor for advanced driver assistance systems.
Inside, the cabin offers a six-seat 2+2+2 layout with reclining second-row seats and foldable entertainment screens. The dashboard includes a digital instrument display, a large central touchscreen and a passenger entertainment screen, while wireless phone charging is available for both front and second-row occupants.
