Recent spy shots reveal a heavily camouflaged test mule undergoing road trials. Although Tata updated the Tiago EV lineup last year, the new prototype indicates that a more comprehensive refresh is in development. The Tiago EV continues to play a key role in India’s affordable electric car segment, and this update could help it stay competitive.

Exterior Changes Expected

At the front, the facelifted Tiago EV appears to feature redesigned LED headlamps paired with slimmer daytime running lights. The bumper looks reshaped, and the upper grille section seems revised. A fresh lower grille design with horizontal slats is also visible.

The ORVMs appear slightly larger, possibly hinting at the addition of a 360-degree camera system. The test car’s wheels are fully covered, suggesting new aero-style alloy wheels underneath. A raised roof section has also been spotted, pointing towards the possible introduction of a factory-fitted electric sunroof.

Interior Upgrades Likely

Inside, the Tata Tiago EV facelift is expected to receive improved materials and added features. A larger infotainment touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster and wireless charging could be part of the update. Tata’s newer steering wheel design and expanded connected car features may also be introduced.

Battery And Launch Timeline

Currently, the Tiago EV is offered with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, delivering real-world ranges of around 168 km and 205 km respectively. Tata could consider introducing a larger 30 kWh battery option, similar to the one seen in the Punch EV, which offers a higher driving range.

An official launch date has not been announced, but the continued testing suggests that the updated Tata Tiago EV could debut later this year in India.
