Design, Interior and Feature Highlights
Design is one of the Sierra’s biggest talking points. The SUV carries forward the boxy silhouette of the original 1991 Sierra, while incorporating modern elements such as connected LED DRLs and tail lamps, flush door handles, a blacked-out C-pillar with a squared rear window and large 19-inch alloy wheels. The overall look balances nostalgia with contemporary styling.
Inside, the Sierra gets a clean, minimalistic cabin layout with a dual-tone colour scheme and a floating centre console. The dashboard is dominated by a triple-screen setup, featuring two 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and passenger entertainment, along with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Comfort-focused features include ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and a premium JBL sound system.

Safety is a strong focus, with the Sierra offering a Level-2 ADAS suite, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Engine Options, Booking and Delivery Timeline
The Tata Sierra is available with three engine choices, covering petrol and diesel options.
Tata Sierra Engine and Transmission Options
| Engine | Power | Torque | Transmission |

| 1.5L NA Petrol | 106 PS | 145 Nm | 6-speed MT / 7-speed DCA |

| 1.5L Diesel | 118 PS | 260 Nm (MT) / 280 Nm (AT) | 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT |
While the naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines are offered with both manual and automatic gearboxes, the turbo-petrol variant is limited to an automatic transmission.

Bookings for the Tata Sierra are open from today, with deliveries expected to begin from January 15, 2026. In terms of competition, the Sierra takes on popular mid-size SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, along with Tata’s own Curvv.
With bookings now open, the new Tata Sierra is aimed at buyers who want a distinctive-looking SUV with a premium cabin, strong safety credentials and a wide choice of engines. The pricing and feature set make it a compelling option for those considering a mid-size SUV upgrade.
