Tata Launches Fleet-Only Xpres Petrol and CNG Variants in India
Tata Motors has expanded its fleet-focused portfolio with the launch of the Xpres sedan in petrol and CNG variants. Based on the Tigor, the Xpres is positioned as the ICE-powered alternative to the Xpres-T EV and will be sold exclusively to fleet operators across select markets in India.
Pricing and availability

The Tata Xpres petrol has been priced at Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CNG variant starts at Rs 6.59 lakh. Bookings for both versions have opened from today. Tata is offering a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000km, which can be extended up to five years or 1,80,000km, along with flexible finance options aimed at fleet buyers.
Engine and mechanical details
Powering the petrol Xpres is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 86hp and 113Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox. The CNG version uses the same engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit, though Tata has not yet revealed its output figures. The petrol variant offers a boot space of 419 litres, while the CNG model uses twin cylinders with a combined water capacity of 70 litres to optimise luggage space.
Features and fleet-specific focus

Like the Xpres-T EV, the ICE-powered Xpres rides on 14-inch steel wheels with black covers. Inside, it gets a dual-tone cabin but skips features such as an infotainment system and audio setup, which can be retrofitted if required. Comfort features like rear AC vents and Type-C charging ports are also missing, underlining its cost-focused, fleet-oriented positioning.
Tata has also set up dedicated fleet dealerships in select cities to support sales and service. With the Xpres petrol and CNG, Tata joins other manufacturers such as Hyundai, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki in strengthening its presence in the fleet-only vehicle segment.
