Kia EV9 debuts in India at Rs. 1.30 crore, offering a 561km range, 99.8kWh, 384 HP, and advanced features like Level 2 ADAS and dual-screen interiors.

Kia has launched its flagship electric SUV, the EV9, in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.30 Crore. Available as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the EV9 is the most expensive Kia model in the country, positioned above the EV6. SUV comes in the fully loaded GT-Line variant.

Bold Design and Impressive Dimensions

The Kia EV9 makes a strong visual statement with its upright stance. It features vertical LED headlamps, L-shaped DRLs, and a closed-off grille with a unique digital pattern. At the rear, the SUV sports vertical LED tail lamps, a sleek tailgate, and a roof spoiler giving it a futuristic look. The EV9 measures 5015 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1780 mm in height, with a spacious 3100mm wheelbase.

Premium Interiors with Advanced Tech

Kia EV9 comes with a tech-loaded cabin. It features a dual-screen display, combining two 12.3-inch screens. One for infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster. Four-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone Brown and Black interior, and plenty of storage under the center console enhance the premium feel.

SUV offers a 6-seater layout, with second-row captain’s chairs equipped with electric adjustments, massage function, and leg support. It comes with three-zone climate control, dual electric sunroofs, and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system

Power-Packed Performace and Impressive Range

The India-spec Kia EV9 comes with a 99.8kWh battery, powering two electric motors for an all-wheel-drive setup. It generates a solid 384 HP and 700 Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from 0 to 100 Km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

The claimed ARAI-certified range stands at an impressive 516 km on a full charge. Fast charging is also a highlight, as the EV9 supports 350kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in just 24 minutes.

Competition and Availability

While the Kia EV9 doesn’t have direct competition in India yet, it will face off against premium electric SUVs like the Mercedes EQS, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron. Additionally, Kia is offering the EV9 under a lease plan, which might appeal to customers looking for flexible ownership options.
