Hyundai Achieves Record Monthly Sales of 59,107 Units in January 2026
Hyundai Motor India Limited has reported its highest-ever monthly domestic sales in January 2026, underscoring the brand’s strong demand momentum in the Indian market. The milestone month further strengthens Hyundai’s position as one of the country’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturers.
Hyundai January 2026 sales performance explained
In January 2026, Hyundai recorded domestic sales of 59,107 units, marking a year-on-year growth of 9.5 percent. Including exports, the company’s total monthly sales stood at 73,173 units, translating to an 11.5 percent YoY increase. Export volumes alone reached 14,030 units, reflecting a sharp 20.9 percent growth and highlighting Hyundai’s growing global footprint from India.
The strong performance reflects steady demand across both domestic and international markets, supported by a balanced portfolio spanning entry-level hatchbacks to midsize SUVs.
Top-selling models and future product plans
The Hyundai Venue and Aura played a key role in January’s performance, registering their highest-ever monthly sales at 12,413 units and 7,978 units, respectively. The Creta continued to be Hyundai’s best-selling nameplate, driven by its strong powertrain options, feature-rich package and popularity in the midsize SUV segment. Models such as the Exter, i20 and Grand i10 Nios also contributed consistently to overall volumes.
Looking ahead, Hyundai has lined up several product updates for India, including facelifts for the Exter and Verna later this year. The Bayon compact crossover is also expected to arrive by the end of the year, positioned between the Exter and Venue. In the longer term, Hyundai plans to introduce multiple hybrid models and a new compact electric SUV, reinforcing its focus on future-ready mobility solutions.
