Great Wall Motor Debuts Tank 700 Hi4-Z With LiDAR And 190 km EV Range
Great Wall Motor has officially revealed the Tank 700 Hi4-Z, a new plug-in hybrid luxury off-road SUV designed to combine advanced technology with strong off-road capability. The new model introduces LiDAR technology and a long electric-only driving range, positioning it as one of the most advanced SUVs in the Tank lineup.
The Tank 700 Hi4-Z builds on the design of the existing Tank 700 Hi4-T but introduces subtle styling updates and additional technology features.
Updated Design With LiDAR Technology

Visually, the Tank 700 Hi4-Z retains its rugged off-road appearance while adding several design enhancements. The front section features a ventilated hood and a revised bumper with a three-section layout and a front lip spoiler. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit has also been added, indicating the presence of advanced driver-assistance systems.
The SUV continues to feature wide fender flares, large wheels and a rear-mounted spare tyre, reinforcing its hardcore off-road character. Buyers can choose between newly designed 20-inch and 21-inch wheels.
Dimensions And Capability
The Tank 700 Hi4-Z measures 5105 mm in length, 2061 mm in width and 1985 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. Customisation options include various bumper trims, optional sunroof and unique exterior badges.

The SUV also offers a towing capacity of up to 2500 kg with brakes and 750 kg without brakes.
Plug-In Hybrid Powertrain
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid system producing 248 hp. The system is paired with a 59.05 kWh battery pack, enabling a pure electric driving range of up to 190 km under CLTC testing conditions.
Combined fuel consumption is rated at 8.45 L/100 km, highlighting the model’s focus on efficiency alongside performance.
