Ford February Sales Fall 5.5% as Bronco, Explorer and Expedition Surge
Ford February 2026 sales showed mixed results in the United States. Overall deliveries declined by 5.5 percent compared with the same month last year, but strong demand for several SUVs helped offset the drop in other parts of the lineup.
Large SUVs such as the Bronco, Explorer and Expedition posted significant gains, highlighting how customer demand continues to shift toward utility vehicles in the American market.
Ford February 2026 Sales Overview
Ford reported a 5.5 percent decline in February 2026 sales and a 5.4 percent drop year‑to‑date. The biggest setback came from the F‑Series pickup, which remains the brand’s best‑selling vehicle but recorded a noticeable fall in deliveries last month.
While the pickup segment slowed, several other models performed strongly, helping Ford maintain solid overall market demand.
Bronco, Explorer and Expedition Drive SUV Growth
SUVs were the standout performers in Ford February 2026 sales.
| Model | February 2026 Sales | YoY Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Ford Explorer | 20,100 | +33.4% |
| Ford Bronco | 12,553 | +27.6% |
| Ford Expedition | 5,551 | +26.5% |
These strong gains highlight the growing popularity of larger SUVs among American buyers and helped offset declines in other parts of Ford’s lineup.
Mustang Gains While EV Sales Decline
Performance models also saw strong demand. Mustang sales surged 54.5 percent in February, while Ranger and Bronco Sport also posted gains.
However, Ford’s electric vehicles struggled. Mustang Mach‑E sales dropped sharply and F‑150 Lightning deliveries fell significantly, pushing Ford EV sales down more than 70 percent year‑to‑date.
