Brixton Storr 500 India Launch Delayed

Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr

The India launch timeline for the Brixton Storr 500 has been pushed back. The Austrian brand, retailed locally by MotoHaus, had originally planned to unveil the new adventure tourer at India Bike Week (IBW) 2025. However, the premiere has now been postponed, with the motorcycle expected to arrive sometime around January–February 2026. This update delays its entry into one of the most competitive and fast-growing motorcycle segments in the country.

What Caused the Brixton Storr 500 Launch Delay?

India Bike Week is taking place in Panchgani this year instead of Goa due to a schedule clash with the Goa Zilla Panchayat Elections. While not officially confirmed, the venue change and resulting brand participation shifts appear to have impacted Brixton’s initial launch plan. BMW Motorrad has also chosen to sit out of the festival, where it was expected to debut the F 450 GS.

With the launch now moved, Brixton will aim for a strong standalone showcase early next year to build momentum for the new model.

Engine, Hardware & Key ADV Features

The Storr 500 is powered by a 486cc liquid‑cooled, parallel‑twin engine delivering 47 bhp and 43 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a six‑speed gearbox tuned for a balance of smooth performance and long‑distance capability.

The adventure‑ready motorcycle sits on a tubular steel frame, featuring upside‑down front forks and a linked rear monoshock for improved ride control. The 19‑inch front and 17‑inch rear wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, underlining its dual‑purpose intentions.

Premium features include switchable ABS, switchable traction control, an all‑LED lighting system and a digital instrument cluster. The combination of equipment and design gives the Storr 500 a global adventure bike character with the promise of strong touring comfort.

Price Expectation & Honda NX500 Rivalry

The Brixton Storr 500 is expected to be priced around Rs 5.50 lakh (ex‑showroom) when it goes on sale. Its closest rival in India will be the Honda NX500, positioning it in a segment that demands strong value and adventure pedigree.

With more riders seeking mid‑size ADVs for touring, the added delay gives its competitors additional time to strengthen their presence, but Brixton’s fresh European styling could still draw early adopters once launched.

Verdict: Worth the Wait

While the delay might disappoint riders who were waiting to see the motorcycle at IBW 2025, the Brixton Storr 500 continues to look like a promising new entrant. With capable hardware, a modern twin‑cylinder engine and attractive pricing expectations, it could become a desirable choice for Indian adventure motorcyclists once it finally hits the market next year.
