5 Upcoming Electric Motorcycles Launching in 2026–27 in India
Electric two-wheelers have grown rapidly in India, but scooters dominate the segment with more than 95 percent of total EV sales. Electric motorcycles remain a small 5 percent slice, mainly due to limited product options. That is about to change. Leading brands, including Royal Enfield, TVS and Hero MotoCorp will enter the category soon, setting up a landmark shift in 2026–27. Here’s a closer look at the five most anticipated electric motorcycles heading to the Indian market.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6

The Flying Flea C6 marks Royal Enfield’s first venture into electric motorcycles. Expected to launch by April 2026, it adopts a neo-retro commuter design with 19-inch alloy wheels, round mirrors and an LED headlamp. Built on RE’s new L-platform, the C6 packs features such as dual-channel ABS, a forged aluminium girder fork and a coloured touchscreen offering Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, voice assist and OTA updates.
While technical specs remain undisclosed, the electric powertrain is expected to deliver performance comparable to a 350cc petrol motorcycle, positioning the C6 as a practical urban EV with familiar RE character.
TVS eFX Three O Concept

TVS Motor Company showcased its first electric motorcycle concept, the eFX Three O, at EICMA 2025 in Milan. The production version is slated for late 2026 or early 2027. The concept features signature C-shaped LED lighting and a sleek tail section, hinting at a sporty orientation.
Noteworthy elements include golden USD front forks, larger alloy wheels, a belt-drive transmission and advanced ADAS capabilities supported by an integrated dashcam. It may share the iQube’s 3.4 kWh battery pack along with optional 1 kWh range boosters, enabling quick 40–50 km top-ups.
Hero Vida Concept Ubex

Hero MotoCorp unveiled its first electric motorcycle concept, Ubex, at EICMA 2025. Built on a modular platform, Ubex blends urban hypermoto design with mild off-road capability. Its styling stands out with a prominent front beak, tall stance, floating seat and exposed frame.
The bike features USD forks, a monoshock and compact tail section, reflecting Hero’s intent to create a lightweight, agile EV. Specifications including battery and range remain unknown, but a mid-mounted motor is expected. Ubex is likely to hit the Indian market in early 2027.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6

Royal Enfield’s second electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea S6, debuted publicly at Motoverse 2025 in Goa. Expected by late 2026, the S6 takes a scrambler-inspired approach. It features a 19-inch front wheel, dual-sport tyres, USD forks, an enduro-style seat and a finned magnesium battery case.
The S6 comes equipped with lean-angle sensing ABS, switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control and an off-road mode, making it suitable for both trails and everyday riding. Battery and range details remain under wraps, but the model is positioned as a more rugged alternative to the C6.
Hero Vida Project VxZ

Hero’s Project VxZ, co-developed with Zero Motorcycles, was unveiled at EICMA 2025 and appears close to production. With a naked streetfighter stance, it carries 5-spoke alloy wheels, a stepped seat, signature Vida LED DRLs and a compact rear profile.
It is expected to use a mid-mounted motor similar to the Ubex concept, though final specifications are yet to be revealed. While Hero has not confirmed an exact launch date, a mid-2027 debut seems likely.
Verdict
The years 2026 and 2027 will mark a turning point for electric motorcycles in India. With mainstream brands stepping into the segment, buyers will finally see credible alternatives to electric scooters. These five upcoming models signal the beginning of a wider EV transformation, one that blends performance, design and technology in ways the market has been waiting for.
