5 Hyundai Cars Coming To India In 2026: Creta, New EV And More
Hyundai Motor India is preparing a major product push in the Indian market in 2026. Backed by a Rs 45,000 crore investment strategy, the company is expected to introduce several new models, including generational updates, facelifts and electric vehicles.
The upcoming lineup will include key products across segments, including the next-generation Creta, a new compact SUV, and an affordable electric SUV.
1. Next-Generation Hyundai Creta

The third-generation Creta is expected to be Hyundai’s most important launch in 2026. The new model will likely arrive toward the end of the year, featuring a comprehensive design overhaul.
Spy sightings suggest updates to the front fascia, rear design and alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV is expected to feature a redesigned dashboard along with Hyundai’s newer steering wheel design with the four-dot logo.
The new Creta will likely move to the K3 platform, which is also used by the latest Kia Seltos. Along with the existing petrol and diesel engines, Hyundai may introduce a strong hybrid powertrain based on a 1.5-litre petrol engine.
2. Second-Generation Hyundai Bayon

Hyundai is also believed to be evaluating the second-generation Bayon for India. The updated model is currently undergoing testing overseas and is expected to feature a more rugged SUV-inspired design.
When introduced in India, the Bayon could be offered with a newly developed 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine along with the 1.0-litre turbo engine seen on the i20 N Line. Transmission options may include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
3. Hyundai Exter Facelift

The Hyundai Exter is expected to receive its first facelift in 2026. The micro SUV was launched in 2023 and quickly became one of the brand’s most accessible SUVs in India.
The facelifted model will likely receive subtle design updates, including revised bumpers and updated lighting elements. Inside, Hyundai may introduce larger displays and an upgraded infotainment system based on Android Automotive.
4. Hyundai Inster-Based Electric SUV

Hyundai is also preparing a new mass-market electric SUV for India based on the global Inster EV. The model will likely be positioned as an affordable electric offering in the brand’s lineup.
It is expected to offer two battery pack options – 42 kWh and 49 kWh – delivering a driving range of around 300 km and 355 km, respectively.
5. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift

The facelifted version of the Ioniq 5, which debuted globally in 2024, is also expected to arrive in India. The updated model brings small design changes along with additional features.
A larger 84 kWh battery pack will also be offered, with a claimed range of up to 700 km on the WLTP cycle. The Ioniq 5 will continue to serve as Hyundai’s flagship electric vehicle in the Indian market.
