2026 MG Hector Facelift Launched in India at Rs. 11.99 Lakh
JSW MG Motor India has introduced the 2026 Hector facelift with a focus on design refresh and feature upgrades, while retaining the familiar mechanical setup. Positioned as a premium update, the facelift aims to strengthen Hector’s appeal in India’s competitive mid-size SUV segment. Prices for the updated MG Hector begin at Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s New in the 2026 MG Hector Facelift

The most noticeable changes are seen on the outside. The updated MG Hector gets a revised chrome grille with a bold hexagonal pattern, paired with redesigned front and rear bumpers that give the SUV a wider and more imposing stance. New alloy wheels further add to the visual update, while two fresh exterior colours, Celadon Blue and Pearl White, expand the colour palette.
Comfort has also been improved with the addition of ventilated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and fabric seat inserts. Buyers can also opt for a leather package that covers the dashboard, door pads and centre console for a more upmarket feel.
Importantly, MG has retained the same mechanical setup. The Hector continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

Inside, MG has focused on making the cabin feel more premium and modern. The five-seat Hector now features a dual-tone Ice Grey interior theme, while the six- and seven-seat versions get a two-tone Urban Tan layout. New hydra gloss finish accents with hydrophobic black-blue inserts add to the updated look.
Variants, Price and Powertrain Details
The 2026 MG Hector facelift is offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, giving buyers flexibility based on family size and usage. The variant lineup continues with familiar trims such as Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro.
Prices for the five-seat Hector start at Rs. 11.99 lakh for the Style variant with the manual gearbox, while higher trims with more features and the CVT option go up to Rs. 18.99 lakh. The seven-seat Hector is priced from Rs. 17.29 lakh, with the top-end Savvy Pro CVT variant costing Rs. 19.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

Across the range, the SUV remains front-wheel drive and is powered exclusively by the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The CVT option continues to be aimed at buyers looking for a more relaxed city-driving experience.
Safety, Features and Ownership Package
One of the key highlights of the facelifted Hector is its feature-rich approach. The SUV continues to offer a 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system, now backed by updated technology for faster processing and smoother performance. A notable addition is the first-in-segment touch gesture control system, allowing users to operate functions such as climate control, audio and navigation using two- and three-finger swipe gestures.

Additional features include a digital Bluetooth key with key sharing, predictive maintenance alerts, remote AC control, and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen. Parking assistance is improved with the addition of a 360-degree HD camera with wheel view.

On the safety front, standard equipment includes ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-hold control and brake assist. The Hector also continues to offer ADAS features, along with conveniences such as a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered tailgate, air purifier with PM 2.5 filter and connected car technology with over 70 features.
MG is backing the facelifted Hector with its MG Shield ownership programme. This includes a 3+3+3 package covering a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services. Flexible ownership options, including up to 100 percent on-road price financing for up to 84 months, are also available.

The 2026 MG Hector facelift is clearly aimed at buyers who want a spacious, feature-loaded SUV with a premium feel. While the engine options remain unchanged, the design updates and added technology make it a more compelling option for Indian families considering a mid-size SUV in this price range.
