2026 Jeep Meridian Gets Sliding Second-Row Seats, Starts at Rs 30.01 Lakh
Jeep India has introduced the updated 2026 Meridian in the Indian market with a practical upgrade aimed at improving three-row usability. The latest model year update brings sliding second-row seats on select variants, while prices for the refreshed lineup start at Rs 30.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s new in the 2026 Jeep Meridian

The key change for 2026 is the addition of sliding second-row seats on the Limited and Overland variants. The new setup allows up to 140mm of longitudinal movement, enabling owners to balance legroom between the second and third rows or free up additional luggage space when needed.
Jeep has also revised the seat mechanism to improve ease of access to the third row. The 40:60 split second row now offers extended sliding travel and a forward tilt function, making entry more convenient. A revised recline angle has been introduced as well, aimed at improving long-distance comfort while meeting safety requirements.
How the sliding second row improves usability

In real-world use, the sliding second-row seats make the Meridian more flexible as a family SUV. Third-row passengers benefit from improved knee room when the seats are slid forward, while users carrying more luggage can adjust the seating layout accordingly. This update addresses one of the common usability concerns with three-row SUVs in this segment.
