VinFast Hikes Prices of VF 6 and VF 7 EVs by Up to Rs 1.3 Lakh
VinFast has announced a price hike for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India, with increases of up to Rs 1.3 lakh across variants. The revised prices come after the expiry of the introductory pricing period, which was offered when both EVs went on sale in September last year.
The VinFast VF 6 has seen a price increase of up to Rs 90,000. The base Earth variant is now priced Rs 80,000 higher than before, while the Wind and Wind Infinity variants have become dearer by Rs 90,000. The VF 6 is equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 480 km on a single charge. It uses a front-mounted electric motor producing 201 BHP and 310 Nm and can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8.89 seconds. The SUV also supports DC fast charging.
Prices of the larger VinFast VF 7 have been increased by up to Rs 1.3 lakh. The Earth variant now costs Rs 1 lakh more, while the Wind variant has become dearer by Rs 1.2 lakh. The top-spec Sky variant sees the highest hike of Rs 1.3 lakh.
The VF 7 is offered with two battery options, 59.6 kWh and 70.8 kWh, along with single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. Power outputs range from 201 BHP and 310 Nm to 345 BHP and 500 Nm in the AWD versions. Depending on the variant, VinFast claims a range of up to 450 km on a single charge.
