Toyota has expanded its iconic Land Cruiser family with a brand-new model — the Land Cruiser FJ, revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Paying tribute to the classic FJ40, this compact off-road SUV brings rugged DNA in a more lifestyle-friendly size. Design & Build
The Land Cruiser FJ proudly sticks to a tough body-on-frame construction using Toyota’s IMV ladder-frame platform — the same architecture seen in the Fortuner and Hilux. That means it’s engineered for real trails, not just soft-roading.
The FJ measures 4,575 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,960 mm in height with a 2,580 mm wheelbase. This makes it noticeably more compact than the Land Cruiser 250. Its shorter wheelbase also supports a tighter 5.5m turning radius, improving manoeuvrability in narrow city lanes and off-road terrain alike.
