Tata Sales Analysis November 2025 – Nexon, Punch, Harrier Drive Growth
Tata Motors closed November 2025 with total sales of 57,436 units, marking a 22 per cent year-over-year rise. This performance secured the brand the second position in India’s overall passenger vehicle rankings, behind Maruti Suzuki and ahead of Mahindra and Hyundai. The month delivered mixed results across the lineup, with strong SUV momentum balancing out dips in hatchbacks, sedans and the Curvv.

Nexon and Punch Lead Tata’s Strong SUV Momentum
The Nexon once again emerged as Tata’s strongest performer, clocking 22,434 units and registering an impressive 46 percent year-on-year growth. It also became the highest-selling passenger vehicle in India for the month. The Punch followed closely with 18,753 units, posting 21 percent YoY growth and continuing its steady rise. Together, these two SUVs formed the backbone of Tata’s sales, maintaining a consistent frontline for the brand.
Tiago, Altroz and Tigor Show Mixed Performance
Among Tata’s compact offerings, the Tiago recorded 5,988 units. While this represents YoY improvement, it marks a steep month-on-month decline from October’s post-festive spike of 8,850 units. The Altroz also mirrored this trend. With 3,013 units sold, it achieved strong YoY growth but fell short of its October tally. The Tigor faced the toughest month, managing only 488 units—a significant drop on both yearly and monthly comparison charts. These declines largely reflect demand normalizing after an exceptionally strong festive period.
Curvv Declines Sharply, While Harrier and Safari See Gains
The Curvv saw one of the month’s sharpest declines. It sold 1,094 units, down 79 percent YoY compared to the high base of 5,101 units last November. This performance also marked a drop from October. In contrast, the Harrier recorded one of the biggest turnarounds in Tata’s portfolio. With 3,771 units sold, it achieved a remarkable 174 percent YoY surge, even though its October numbers were slightly higher. The Safari too delivered a stable performance at 1,895 units, growing 21 percent YoY while tapering marginally month-on-month.
Tata’s Total Sales Reflect Steady Market Growth
With 57,436 units sold in November 2025, Tata Motors demonstrated solid overall growth. The strong performance of its SUV lineup compensated for dips in the compact car and Curvv categories. As the market transitions out of the festive demand cycle, Tata’s consistent momentum ensures it retains a firm position heading into the final stretch of the year.
Verdict
Tata Motors continues to strengthen its presence as India’s second-largest carmaker. The Nexon and Punch remain dominant volume drivers, while the Harrier and Safari reinforce the brand’s SUV credentials. However, the contrasting performance of the Tiago, Altroz, Tigor and Curvv highlights key areas for strategic focus in early 2026.
