Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Likely In January 2026: What To Expect

Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Likely In January

The Skoda Kushaq is set to receive a major upgrade in India, with its facelift expected to launch in the second half of January 2026. First introduced in 2021, the Kushaq has been due for a refresh, especially in the face of competition from feature-rich SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The update will bring exterior changes, upgraded tech and more comfort for Indian families.

Updated Exterior Design

The facelifted Kushaq will receive subtle styling changes while retaining its familiar stance. New headlights with a more modern DRL signature are expected, inspired by the latest Skoda design language seen on the new Kodiaq. The front grille may get slimmer vertical slats and a revised front bumper.

New matte-black alloy wheels, likely 17-inch units, have been spotted on test mules. The rear could adopt slimmer tail-lamps and possibly an LED light bar connecting the two sides for a cleaner look.

New Features For India

The interior updates remain under wraps, but improved trims and upholstery are expected. A panoramic sunroof is likely to be added — a popular demand in this segment.

Skoda is also equipping the Kushaq with Level 2 ADAS, matching major rivals who already offer advanced driver assistance. A 360-degree camera could join the features list, improving safety and convenience.

Engine & Gearbox Options

The Kushaq will continue with the trusted turbo-petrol engines:

  • 1.0 TSI with 115hp and 178Nm
  • 1.5 TSI with 150hp and 250Nm

Both engines currently offer manual and automatic options. However, the 1.0 TSI’s 6AT gearbox is planned to be replaced by a more efficient 8-speed automatic (8AT) later in 2026. This upgrade should improve fuel efficiency and help Skoda meet future emission and economy norms.

India Launch Timeline

Skoda is expected to introduce the Kushaq facelift in late January 2026, giving buyers a fresh option early in the new year.

Verdict

The upcoming Skoda Kushaq facelift aims to enhance what Indian buyers already appreciate: strong turbo performance, comfort and robust build quality. With new tech like Level 2 ADAS, refreshed styling and an upcoming 8AT gearbox, the Kushaq is gearing up to be more competitive in the midsize SUV battle.

If Skoda gets the pricing right, this facelift could renew excitement for the Kushaq in 2026.
