Norton Atlas Range to be Launched in India in Mid 2026
The iconic British brand Norton, now backed by TVS Motor Company, is all set for a major India comeback. The Norton Atlas range has been confirmed for a mid-2026 launch, marking a premium adventure-sport entry into the 600cc twin-cylinder space.
India Launch Timeline & Showcase
TVS recently displayed the Norton lineup, including Manx, Manx R, Atlas, and Atlas GT, at EICMA 2025 in Milan. The Atlas range is expected to be showcased again at TVS MotoSoul 2025 on 5–6 December.
Europe will get the bikes first in April 2026, with the India launch scheduled just a few months later.
Engine & Performance
The Norton Atlas will be powered by a 585cc parallel-twin engine with a 270° crank, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
This powertrain is understood to be based on the TVS-BMW 420cc twin platform, re-engineered with a larger bore and stroke for more performance.

Two Variants: Standard & GT
Norton will offer the Atlas range in:
- Atlas Standard – Rough-road setup with 19/17-inch spoke wheels
- Atlas GT – Touring focus with 17-inch alloys at both ends
Features & Tech
Premium equipment expected:
- Full TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth
- Multiple ride modes
- Cornering ABS & traction control
- LED projector headlamps with cornering function
- Cruise control
This puts the Atlas range at par with global mid-weight adventure-tourers.

Expected Price & Rivals
Local manufacturing at TVS Hosur plant should help Norton price the motorcycle aggressively.
Expected Price: Around ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Rivals: Kawasaki Versys 650, Triumph Tiger Sport 660, BMW F 450 GS (pricing rivalry)
Verdict – A Strong Comeback with TVS Support
With British heritage, advanced electronics, and a new twin-cylinder motor built in India, the Norton Atlas range could quickly become a strong premium alternative in the middleweight motorcycle market.
