Tata Tiago.ev facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads, hinting at an upcoming update for Tata Motors’ most affordable electric car. The heavily camouflaged test mule suggests this is a facelift rather than an all-new model, with Tata focusing on keeping the entry-level EV fresh for 2026.

The Tiago.ev remains a crucial part of Tata’s EV strategy in India, sitting below the Punch EV and Nexon EV in the brand’s electric line-up.

Design updates seen

The test mule retains the familiar shape of the current Tiago.ev, but a closer look reveals noticeable changes. The front end appears to get updated headlamps along with a revised bumper design, while the overall stance remains unchanged.

At the rear, the tail-lamps look similar to the outgoing model, though minor internal tweaks are expected. The car was also seen with a new EV-style wheel design, pointing to fresh alloy options. Tata is also likely to introduce new exterior colour choices with the facelift.

Interior and feature upgrades expected

Although the interior was not visible, the facelifted Tiago.ev is expected to receive feature updates. A larger touchscreen infotainment system and a revised instrument cluster are likely additions.

Tata may also bring its new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo to the Tiago.ev, helping the cabin feel more in line with newer Tata models.

Battery, range and launch timeline

The Tata Tiago.ev facelift is not expected to see any mechanical changes. It should continue with the existing 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs, offering claimed ranges of around 250km and 315km respectively.

With testing now underway, the updated Tiago.ev is expected to be launched in India sometime in 2026, continuing its role as Tata’s most accessible electric car.
