The Scorpio N, launched in 2022, is now due for a mid-life update. Recent test sightings indicate subtle exterior changes including a revised front grille and updated alloy wheel design.

Cabin upgrades are expected to be more noticeable. A larger infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, refreshed centre console and possibly a panoramic sunroof could be part of the update.

Engine options will likely continue unchanged with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines paired to manual and automatic gearboxes.

2. Mahindra Thar Facelift

Mahindra is also preparing a proper facelift for the three-door Thar. While minor feature updates arrived earlier, this update is expected to focus more on design and equipment.

Spy images suggest a revised grille inspired by newer Mahindra styling along with updated bumpers and tail-lamps. Interior improvements may include ventilated seats, wireless charging, automatic climate control and keyless entry.

The current petrol and diesel engine lineup is expected to continue without major changes.

3. Mahindra Thar EV

The Thar EV will mark a major step in Mahindra’s electric SUV strategy. It was previewed earlier through a concept model and will be based on the flexible NU_IQ platform.

Unlike the existing three-door Thar, the electric version is expected to adopt a five-door layout with a length of around 4.3 metres. The design will likely retain the boxy stance but with modern EV styling touches.

Early expectations point towards a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a claimed range of around 500 km. The launch timeline currently points towards 2027 in India.

4. Mahindra Vision S

The Vision S SUV is expected to expand the Scorpio lineup further. The concept was showcased earlier and test vehicles indicate a design close to that preview model.

A boxy stance, familiar Mahindra styling cues and a feature-rich interior are expected. Some cabin elements could be shared with the Scorpio N to maintain brand consistency.

Petrol and diesel engines are expected, although detailed specifications have not yet been officially confirmed.

Mahindra’s upcoming SUV plan shows a mix of facelifts, new internal combustion models and a stronger EV focus. With steady demand for SUVs in India, these launches are expected to keep the brand competitive across multiple segments.
