Harley Davidson X440T Launched In India At Rs 2.79 Lakh
Harley Davidson has launched its newest motorcycle in India, the X440T. It is based on the X440 already on sale in India, but comes with updated styling and better electronics to attract more cruiser lovers in the country.
Design and Styling
The Harley Davidson X440T gets a sportier stance and several visual changes inspired by the iconic Harley XR1200. The rear section looks more muscular with a larger fender and redesigned seat for added comfort.
It also features new and chunky grab handles for the pillion. Harley is offering fresh colour choices too, including Pearl Blue, Pearl Red, Vivid Black, and Pearl White.
Harley-Davidson branding is now placed differently on the fuel tank along with a racing-style pinstripe on the sides. Bar-end mirrors and black front fenders differentiate the X440T from the X440.
Features and Technology
Harley has updated the motorcycle with a new electronic throttle body that now supports ride-by-wire technology.
Rider aids take a major step up with traction control and switchable rear ABS. It also gets two riding modes: Road and Rain. However, the electronics cannot be changed while the motorcycle is in Rain mode.
Shared elements with the X440 include the front profile but the exhaust seems to have received a slight redesign for a cleaner look.
Engine and Performance
The Harley Davidson X440T continues with the same 440 cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine available in the standard model.
It produces 27 bhp and 38 Nm, paired with a claimed mileage of around 35 kmpl. So riders can still expect a strong low-end punch and practical fuel efficiency suitable for everyday Indian roads.
Suspension, Wheels and Chassis
The motorcycle uses a trellis frame chassis, supported by a 43 mm KYB upside-down front fork offering 130 mm travel. For the rear, it gets twin gas-charged shocks to improve comfort and handling. Harley offers an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel setup, giving it a stable stance on highways. Kerb weight stands at 192 kg which keeps it slightly heavy but characteristic of the Harley style. Ground clearance is 170 mm, good enough for tackling rougher Indian roads.

Harley Davidson has priced the X440T at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it in the premium single-cylinder segment where buyers expect both style and performance. With sportier design elements and improved rider aids, the X440T is targeted at young Indian riders wanting Harley pedigree at a more affordable price point.
