From G 310 to R 1300 GS: All BMW Motorcycles Set for 2026 Price Increase

All BMW Motorcycles Set for 2026 Price Increase

BMW Motorrad’s announcement of a price increase of up to 6 percent from 1 January 2026 isn’t just a routine revision. It reflects how sharply global currency movements and rising logistics costs are reshaping the premium motorcycle market in India.

The company has linked the hike to the rupee’s prolonged weakness against the US dollar and euro, a trend that directly inflates import bills. For BMW, whose top-selling adventure and sport motorcycles arrive as fully built imports, the impact is immediate. Models like the R 1300 GS, R 1300 GSA and the M-series supersports could see the steepest revisions.

Even locally assembled bikes such as the G 310 RR and CE 02 aren’t untouched. Their component chains still depend heavily on global suppliers, making cost insulation nearly impossible in the current market.

What makes this announcement important is its timing. India’s premium motorcycle segment has been expanding steadily, but buyers remain price sensitive. A rise of this scale may push enthusiasts to reconsider purchase timelines or opt for more flexible finance plans.

BMW has hinted at easing the transition through its financial arm, offering tailored EMIs and interest benefits. Still, the broader message is clear. As global cost pressures mount, India’s high-end motorcycle space is entering a period where pricing stability can no longer be taken for granted.
