Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Fall In November 2025; TVS Takes Lead

Electric Two Wheeler Sales Fall In November

Electric two-wheeler sales in India witnessed a slowdown in November 2025 as consumer demand softened after the festive season. According to FADA data, a total of 1,16,982 e-scooters and e-bikes were sold, marking a 2.51 percent decline compared to the same month last year when 1,19,998 units were registered. Month-on-month performance dipped more sharply as October 2025 sales stood at 1,43,887 units, resulting in a steep 18.70 percent drop.

Despite this slowdown, market share for electric two-wheelers remained steady at 4.6 percent of overall two-wheeler sales in India.

Ather Energy continued strong momentum by retaining third place with 20,349 units, showing significant YoY growth despite lower demand versus October.

Why Electric Scooter Sales Declined in November

The drop in overall demand can be attributed to post-festive normalisation and cautious spending. Brands like Hero Vida and Ather are gaining attention with newer lineups and better nationwide reach, while Ola is still facing a decline in customer confidence and delivery consistency.

The premium price-sensitive EV segment has become more competitive, and brand trust is now playing a significant role in purchase decisions.

Outlook: Will December Recover The Momentum?

With year-end buying interest and new product launches expected in early 2026, the segment could see a rebound. However, market volatility may continue as brands work toward improving charging infrastructure, aftersales support, and pricing strategies.

Electric two-wheelers continue to move forward in India, but November’s dip highlights that consistent growth will depend on stronger customer experience and product reliability across the board.
