East Godavari Road Accident: Three Killed on Railway Bridge

A road accident claimed three lives in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district in the early hours of Tuesday. The accident took place on the Kovvur railway bridge when a high-speed bike collided head-on with a scooty.

According to police, the bike was travelling towards Rajahmundry at the time of the accident. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both vehicles badly damaged.

Police said three people died on the spot in the accident. The victims included the riders involved in the collision. Due to the heavy impact, there was little chance for escape.

One more person was injured in the crash and was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured person is said to be stable.

Police Register Case, Investigation Underway

Kovvur police reached the spot soon after the accident and cleared the traffic on the railway bridge. A case has been registered, and an investigation has been started to find out the exact cause of the accident.
