Citroen India Records Three-Fold Sales Growth in Q4 2025

Citroen India has reported a three-fold increase in sales during the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter, marking a significant turnaround for the French automaker in the Indian market. The growth comes on the back of the company’s Citroen 2.0 roadmap, branded as “Shift Into The New,” which was introduced in August 2025 with a clear focus on localisation, accessibility and customer experience.

Citroen 2.0 Strategy Drives Q4 Sales Growth

The Citroen 2.0 strategy represents a reset in how the brand approaches India. Central to this plan is deeper localisation, including India-first product interventions, improved supplier integration and cost optimisation. Alongside this, Citroen has worked on expanding its dealer and service network to improve reach and ease of ownership, areas that were earlier seen as barriers for the brand.

According to the company, these changes have started delivering measurable results, with Q4 2025 sales reaching three times the volume recorded in Q3. Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director of Stellantis India, stated that the strategy has helped create a sustainable growth path by aligning products and services more closely with Indian customer expectations.

Product Updates, Partnerships and Export Growth

In 2025, Citroen refreshed and expanded its Indian portfolio with models such as the C3 Dark Edition, C3 Aircross, C3X, Basalt and Aircross X. A notable addition was the Basalt X, which introduced Citroen’s in-car assistant, CARA. The system offers features such as navigation support, hands-free calling, weather updates, reminders and web search, helping improve the brand’s technology appeal.

Beyond products, Citroen strengthened its ecosystem through partnerships with financial and insurance providers including HDFC Bank, IndusInd General Insurance and Sundaram Finance. These collaborations aim to simplify financing, insurance and digital loan processing for customers. Exports also played a key role in 2025, with Stellantis India recording an 18.8 percent rise in vehicle exports, driven mainly by demand from Africa and ASEAN markets. The Basalt is scheduled to begin exports in 2026, reinforcing India’s role as a manufacturing and export hub.

Looking ahead, Citroen India plans to continue expanding its retail and service footprint while increasing localisation across future products. The company has also indicated a stronger focus on electric vehicles and sustainable mobility solutions.
