CFMoto Reveals 800MT-ES Globally With Game-Changing Semi-Active KYB Suspension
CFMoto has introduced a major upgrade to its adventure lineup with the global reveal of the 800MT-ES, a variant that shifts the brand’s focus toward more premium, electronically enhanced touring machines. While it debuts in the UK, the broader significance lies in how aggressively the Chinese manufacturer is pushing into high-tech territory.
The highlight is its semi-active KYB suspension, a feature typically associated with far more expensive European adventure bikes. The system adjusts damping in real time based on riding style, road quality and load, making the bike react quicker to changing surfaces. For long-distance riders abroad, this could mean noticeably smoother touring and better control on broken terrain.

CFMoto has paired this setup with a strong electronics package that includes Bosch stability control, traction control and cornering ABS. An eight-inch TFT display and LED lighting round off the premium feel. The familiar 799cc parallel-twin engine continues to deliver 90bhp and 67Nm, keeping performance identical to the standard 800MT but with a far more adaptive chassis.
For Indian buyers, the bigger story is not the launch itself but what it signals. Despite the advancement, the 800MT-ES is unlikely to come to India anytime soon. Instead, CFMoto is preparing for a more realistic re-entry with the 450MT, a segment better aligned with India’s off-road and touring market.

The global debut shows how quickly CFMoto is climbing the premium ADV ladder. If the brand’s tech trickles down, India may see more competitively priced, feature-rich adventure bikes in the coming years.
