Tata AutoComp Opens Two New Manufacturing Plants in Sanand, Gujarat
Tata AutoComp Sanand plant expansion has taken a step forward with the inauguration of two new manufacturing facilities in Gujarat. Opened on January 30, 2026, the plants will produce automotive seating systems and thermal solutions for vehicles.
New Sanand Plants and Manufacturing Expansion
The new facilities are operated by TM Automotive Seating Systems Private Limited and TACO Air International Thermal Systems Private Limited. With these additions, Tata AutoComp now operates more than eight plants in the Sanand region.

The expansion supports supply to original equipment manufacturers, including Tata Motors Limited, while also contributing to export operations. Company leaders highlighted the advantage of Sanand’s proximity to customers and its established vendor ecosystem.
Role in Auto Industry and Future Plans
Tata AutoComp plans to establish additional plants across India this year as it expands manufacturing capacity. The new facilities are designed to support next-generation mobility platforms while maintaining focus on quality, safety and environmental priorities.
The company operates through 22 business units, including 11 joint ventures, with over 65 manufacturing plants globally across India, the United States, Europe, Latin America and China. It employs more than 20,000 people and supplies components for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and rail segments.
The latest Sanand expansion strengthens Tata AutoComp’s manufacturing footprint in India and supports its growing role in the automotive supply chain.
